The La Plata City Reservoir is located 2 1/2 miles east of La Plata on State Hwy 156 to Leopard Avenue and approximatley 1/2 mile south on Leopard Avenue.
The lake consists of approximately 81 acres of fishing, which includes black bass, catfish, crappie and sun fish. The lake is managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation and is "No Wake".
There are 20 new campsites and the original 10 campsites with electric/water hookups and onsite dump station. As well as picnic tables and several fire pits throughout the campsites.
Campground is first come first serve with NO reservations.

The La Plata Santa Fe Lake is located east of La Plata. From Hwy 63 take Lantern Street to Cambridge, cross the railroad tracks and the lake entrance is on your right.
The Santa Fe Lake opens every summer for swimming with two docks and a slide. There is a pavillion with picnic tables and a playground. As well as a boat launch area for fishing.
