Present: Mayor Lois Bragg, Alderman Robinson, Alderman Jones, Alderman Walker and City Clerk Bobbie Jacques
Also: Gary Matteson, Tom Burton, Mike Binder, Philip Wilson, MEC
Mayor Bragg declared a quorum and called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said and Alderman Robinson gave the invocation.
Consent Agenda:
Alderman Jones made a motion and seconded by Alderwoman Walker to approve the consent agenda. The motion carried ayes – Walker, Robinson, Jones
Visitors Comments:
Philip Wilson – McClure Engineering Co.
Philip gave an update on the wastewater reline project. Willis Brothers is waiting on the new pumps for the irrigation system and is getting ready to start the additional 5,000 ft.
Alderman Perry entered the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
Philip Wilson left the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
Tom Burton addressed the Board of Aldermen in regards to water standing on the east side of the street at highway 156 and South Gex Street. Mayor Bragg will talk to Kiley Harpster regarding the issue.

Wastewater Pay Request
City Clerk Jacques requested the Board of Aldermen approve Wastewater pay request no. 4, in the amount of $258,900.00.
Alderwoman Walker made a motion and seconded by Alderman Jones to approve Wastewater pay request no. 4, in the amount of $258,900.00 The motion carried ayes – Jones, Perry, Walker, Robinson

New Business
Amtrak
Police Chief Bunch informed the Board of Aldermen he had contacted Amtrak Officials regarding removing unruly passengers. The official said he would issue a memo that unless it was an emergency not to remove unruly passengers in La Plata.
ATV’s/Golf Carts
Discussion was held regarding under aged children operating ATV’s/Golf Carts inside city limits during the Soybean Festival. It was decided to add side-by-sides to permit requirements being operated within the city limits of La Plata.
Street Deposit/Concrete – Postponed
Electric Supervisor Cory Cook entered the meeting at 6:25 p.m.
Eric Smith Resignation
Executive Session 610.0219 (3) Employee
Alderman Perry made a motion and seconded by Alderwoman Walker to move into executive session at 6:30 p.m. The vote as follows:
Alderman Robinson –aye Alderman Perry – aye
Alderman Jones – aye Alderwoman Walker – aye
The motion carried.
Alderman Jones made a motion and seconded by Alderman Perry to adjourn executive session at 6:35 p.m. The vote as follows:

Alderman Robinson made a motion and seconded by Alderman Perry to increase Eric Smith and Nathen See’s hourly wage to $20.50 per hour with an additional week of vacation. The motion carried ayes – Walker, Perry, Robinson, Walker
